The Sound of Chimes

Walking down the windy street
Stirring sounds about my feet
The air was swirling, pale leaves twirling
Symphonic winds were speaking tongues
The wind chimes all about me sung
I've never heard them ring so clear
The certainty of one so near
Great openings awakening
Each sounding step reshaping things
The streets be stirred by noble theme
Embers of hope from a running dream
Floating feather through changing weather
Sewing parts and linking hearts
Standing tall for something scarce
Peering into window frames
The outer walls appear the same
Avenues of light once lame
Come tiny purifying flame
Come spirit sew this faded name
No longer dreaming sights are teeming
With flags full staff
Unmoved by wrath
Its supple sound fly souls around
Come hear them blow my friends and foes
Breath of God my soul swallow
And breathe me free, new winds to be
To stir the streets from Camp Defeat
Truth can't be beat
Come take your seat
O Son of Heaven sing vibrant rhythms
Life shifting, breathing, blazing, lifting
Beyond divine gifting
Hearts of wheat you're sifting
Fine tune the sound
Spin plans around
Till Love you've found below the ground
Cool surface brown
Your diamond round
From fire and stone
Your eyes alone outside our zone
Yet cutting near within my ear
The stars won't lie you occupy
The furthest rock, the slowest walk
Still searching motion for substantial notion
Of an uncommon thought
A bright wave you wrought
To fill the dead spaces what real love erases
No heart will be bought
Fish from heaven I've caught
As I let you reel me deeper in
My feet and arms evolve to fins
The waters mold me, Strong hands hold me
Like origami fate unfolds me
A paper soul without a hole
Fly me tall in the public hall
Let the early wind prevent my fall
Flexible filter bend this wall
Allow just One to flee the stall
Many bells ring through the wells
Summoning closers to extinguish the posers
Wonders of Moses unfolding before us
Grace me the sinuous spirit to see
The current of wisdom you're whispering
